Overview

NetXen Intelligent NIC^® adapters are high-performance Layer 2 NICs that are capable of offloading upper layer protocols to significantly improve the throughput of servers, server appliances, and storage platforms, while reducing host CPU utilization. This allows overall system performance to scale dramatically.

NetXen's third-generation Intelligent NIC line, introduced in August 2008, establishes a new performance benchmark for next-generation, mainstream server environments. The products are based on NetXen's patented FlexLOM technology, the server industry's first upgradeable Quad-to-10 Gigabit architecture, designed to help bridge the industry's migration from Gigabit to 10 Gigabit Ethernet.
