NetXen provides 10GbE intelligent networking solutions for the Agile Datacenter™ with breakthrough technology that can readily adapt to changes in usage models, network traffic types and protocols. Our products consist of silicon and board-level solutions for high-volume rack, tower and blade servers. We deliver these solutions to the marketplace via our leading server OEMs.

The IT environment is undergoing profound changes:

	Consumer content is causing a data explosion (IPTV, mobile video, digital photos, etc.)
	Regulatory requirements are driving the need for more networked storage and security
	Workloads are becoming more transactional and I/O intensive in nature
	Protocol proliferation is hindering server scalability
	Economics are dictating a move towards infrastructure consolidation

Against this backdrop, IT departments are being asked to become more flexible and responsive to ever changing market and competitive conditions, while using fewer resources. There is a fundamental need to enhance datacenter flexibility and capability. The objectives are clear:

First, I/O bandwidth is being driven up by content, virtualization and converged fabrics. (10GbE addresses this, but it, in and of itself, is not sufficient.)
